James and his wife Penny Kennedy Brockway, a long time League City resident, reside in League City with their daughter Emma Rose Brockway.
James Brockway has been a licensed real estate agent since 1992 and a licensed broker since 1994. Born and raised in Texas, James began his professional career in Houston immediately after graduating cum laude with a degree in finance and accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. After completing a three year stint in public accounting during which time he audited banks and commercial real estate firms while he earned his Certificate of Public Accountancy (CPA) license, he moved on to work for a commercial real estate development and property management firm, a multi-family investment and property management firm and a shopping center developer and property manager. During this time, James served in financial roles with these organizations, while earning and using his broker’s license to buy and sell property for these firms.
In 2002, James represented his first residential buyer, closing on a home in Houston. Having caught the residential bug, shortly thereafter he formed Brockway Realty, LLC in 2004 and has been transacting business under this company ever since.
